The Female Animal (1958)

Jaded movie star Vanessa Windsor, saved from a studio accident by handsome extra Chris Farley, pursues him, and soon he’s the ‘caretaker’ of her beach house. Vanessa’s sexy, alcoholic adult daughter Penny accidentally meets Chris, who rescues her from an ‘octopus’ boyfriend. Before you know it, Chris is involved with both mother and daughter, and his only way out is to take a job in a Mexican picture about man-eating orchids.

Outside the Law (1956)

An ex-con is given the chance to redeem himself and revenge the murder of an old army buddy by going undercover in Germany and helping the authorities break up a ring of international counterfeiters who will stop at nothing, including murder, to protect their operation.

Ride the Pink Horse (1947)

In the border town of San Pablo, preparing for an annual ‘Mexican Fiesta,’ arrives Gagin: tough, mysterious, and laconic. His mission: to find the equally mysterious Frank Hugo, evidently for revenge, or is it blackmail? FBI agent Retz is also after the elusive Hugo. Everyone in town is enigmatic, especially Pila, a mystical teenager who follows Gagin and has premonitions of his death. Also involved are a classic femme fatale and an antique carousel with a pink horse.

Calcutta (1944)

Neale Gordon and Pedro Lake, commercial pilots who fly the hump between Chungking and Calcutta, learn, after they reach Calcutta, that their pal, Bill Cunningham, has been murdered. Neale’s investigation leads him to the Chalgani Club, run by Eric Lasser. Marina Tanov, the club’s Russian singer, in love with Neale, tells him that Bill was engaged to an American girl, Virginia Moore. Neale seeks out Virginia, who admits that Bill gave her the $10,000 necklace she is wearing. Knowing that Bill never had that kind of money, Neale checks up. He learns that Bill had indeed bought and paid for it. Neale and Virginia are drinking at the bar when Pedro shows Neale a valuable star sapphire that he found in the hangar. The pilots then realize they have stumbled onto a smuggling racket. Neale is convinced that Virginia is not involved.
