Crime Busters (1977)
Through an improbable series of events and an impossibly bungled supermarket hold-up, down on their luck con men Matt and Wilbur find themselves working with the Miami police force. As they patrol the streets of the city, their main job becomes trying to break the hold of the city’s street gangs, including one group of teens in old movie gangster-style clothes, led by a kid named Geronimo who dresses in full Indian warrior regalia.
Odds and Evens (1978)
Johnny Firpo, a US Navy Lieutenant, competes in many Miami competitions, including American football and speedboat racing. Instead, Charlie is a truck driver making deliveries in various places and must carry a tank full of dolphins. The two characters meet when some miscreants sabotage Johnny’s speedboat. He thinks that it was Charlie eating a plate of beans. Still, in the end, they discover that the real culprits are a gang of illegal bookmakers led by a man known as Paraboulis ‘The Greek’, who is controlling and rigging every gambling competition in Florida.
Who Finds a Friend Finds a Treasure (1977)
Alan gets a map of some war treasure that the Japanese army left behind on a small Pacific island at the end of World War II. But some gangsters try to steal the map from him, and so he hides on Charlie’s boat, which just leaves the harbour. He manipulates the ship’s compass so that Charlie is unaware he is sailing to the treasure island. But when they step on the island, they discover that it is not as abandoned as they believed: there are some natives – and a Japanese soldier still defending the treasure.
Go for It (1983)
Mason is driving a truck when he picks up a hitchhiker, Rosco. Traffic police stop them for control but confuse them for two robbers. They manage to escape this situation strangely, only to fall into a worse one. They run to the airport, trying to take the first available flight. They score a free flight to Miami, and someone gives them a bag containing $ 1 million. Later, Rosco and Mason will understand that they were confused about two secret agents this time, but now they are too deeply involved in the situation.
