Jacqueline Bisset is an English actress who played Giovanna Goodthighs in the 1967 parody film Casino Royale. Her career began two years before and quickly escalated into several starring roles, including in Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe (1974). This performance won Bisset a Golden Globe nomination. She later won a Globe for her performance in the miniseries Dancing on the Edge and other Globe, Emmy, and Cesar nominations in the interim, in addition to France’s highest honor, the Légion d’honneur, in 2010.
In a 2001 interview on her role in Royale, Bisset notably discussed an incident with co-star Peter Sellers. The latter fired a prop-gun in her face, causing her temporary blindness and minor injuries from the discharge and dropping a bottle of wine on her feet.
