Trivia
Deborah Kerr later recounted how director Charles K. Feldman had approached her to star in Casino Royale. She was offered a sizeable sum with enormous daily costs if production exceeded the ten days she was contracted to work. In the end, the show lasted eight weeks, with Kerr spending most of her time in the dressing room. Commenting on her resulting pay-check, Kerr noted that the large sum of money was used to build a swimming pool at their home in Switzerland, which she humorously christened “The Charles K. Feldman Memorial Swimming Pool.”[1]
At 45, she was arguably the oldest “Bond Girl” in any James Bond film, until Monica Bellucci, at 50, in Spectre (2015).
