Bond Girl: Bambi

Bambi was a fictional acrobatic guard tasked by Ernst Blofeld with imprisoning the reclusive billionaire Willard Whyte. Portrayed by actress and singer Lola Larson, the character was created especially for EON Productions’ 1971 James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever.

Biography

Along with her counterpart Thumper, Bambi was an operative of the criminal organization SPECTRE. The pair were tasked with guarding the imprisoned billionaire Willard Whyte at his luxury residence in the suburbs of Las Vegas. Highly athletic and trained in hand-to-hand combat, the pair made formidable prison guards and attempted to murder the inquisitive James Bond during his visit to the property. After a protracted brawl, the women threw him into an outdoor pool. Sensing an opportunity to finish Bond off, they dived in an attempt to drown him, only to have the tables turned on them. 007 held them both underwater until CIA liaison Felix Leiter and his men arrived, presumably taking the pair into custody. Their fate remains unknown.

Trivia
